PROGRAMS FOR YOUTH

Sunday Mornings at Emmanuel

The Gang: for grades 6-8; a Middle School faith formation program . The lessons provide memorable Bible learning plus interactive teaching tools to engage and captivate youth. Lessons are designed to encourage faith development beyond Sunday so faith grows all week long. It uses R.E.A.L. learning style: Relational, Experiential, Applicable, Learner- Based.

The Seekers: For grades 9-12. The curriculum is a blend of lectionary based materials. The program incorporates movie clips, contemporary events, group discussion, and instructional DVDs.

 

Sunday Afternoons and Wednesday Nights at Emmanuel

Second Sunday Socials and Service…..join the youth on the 2nd Sunday of the month for some laid back fun and recreation alongside some small service projects to make the world a better place! This group is for our 6th -12th graders. Groups meet separately.

Club 45….For young people in grades 4 and 5, Club 45 meets the 3rd Sunday of the month from 3:30-5pm. For info on specific dates and times, see the Emmanuel digital news “The Epistle”.

EYC: Our Episcopal Youth Community gathers on Wednesday nights at 6pm. Programming includes faith formation as well as peer relations and growth. This group is active in Diocesan activities and will have the chance to participate in regional youth activities including October Weekend (9-12), November weekend (6-8), Happening (9-12), Diocesan Council and May weekend (9-12). Programs are led by our youth ministers, Melissa Thomas and Vicky Koch with assistance from EYC advisors Mike Emry and Brian Emejuru.
